4000 Days follows the relentless fight of three families who lost sons to hazing as they turn their personal tragedies into a nationwide movement for change. Their efforts — and the critical support of allies from UMaine and beyond — led to passage of the federal Stop Campus Hazing Act in 2024.
Julie and Gary DeVercelly, who are featured in the film, will join filmmaker Daniel Catullo at UMaine to speak about how they transformed tragedy into lasting impact to keep students safe.
