The Hazing Prevention Academy(HPA) is an immersive virtual training that engages  professionals with hazing prevention experts and professionals in the field. Grounded in the Hazing Prevention Framework (HPF), the only research-based framework for campus hazing prevention, this training emphasizes the components of commitment and capacity building for hazing prevention. The HPA also provides essential space for collaboration and small and large discussion with fellow participants and the facilitators.

Participants will:

  • Learn how to influence prevention through research-based and collaborative practices.
  • Review several evidence-informed implementation strategies, derived directly from the work of institutions involved in the Hazing Prevention Consortium (HPC).
  • Discuss hazing as a campus-wide, climate and culture issue and how hazing intersects with other campus safety concerns.

The HPA is delivered by Dr. Elizabeth Allan, the StopHazing Team, past and present HPC member practitioners, and dedicated hazing prevention advocates.

Hazing Prevention Academy (HPA) deliverables include:

  • Hazing 101: Foundational Webinar Series
  • Hazing Prevention Framework (HPF) Overview
