Hazing is in the spotlight like never before right now.  We receive weekly, and sometimes daily, calls from journalists seeking statements and opinions about hazing and hazing prevention relative to high profile cases in the media.

And now more than ever, we’re hearing from family members of children who have been hazed.

This week, on November 19th, StopHazing received an email from Pamela Champion, the mother of Robert Champion, the talented drum major who was killed in a hazing incident at Florida A&M University three years ago this week. She has formed Drum Major For Change, and in remembrance of the anniversary of her son’s death she reached out to share two public service announcements developed by her group.

We share these announcements in the spirt of encouraging us all to find as many ways as possible to build knowledge about the harm of hazing and inspire action to prevent it in our schools, colleges, and universities.

The Time Is Now: Hazing Kills

Stop Hazing. Speak Out.
